Most attempts to add a scent to a car’s cabin air filter have not been successful. The difficulty in a scented cabin air filter was always in how to moderate the disbursement of the scent. On average, a vehicles blower motor pushes 1100-1500 cfm (cubic feet per minute) of airflow through the cabin filter. This amount of airflow caused an overwhelming amount of scent to be released during the first couple of days. After this, the scent would dissipate quickly resulting in a frustrated vehicle owner.

Lavender Air Freshener

To address the need to offer a scented cabin air filter, PUREFLOW® has introduced an innovative and patented scented car air freshener that attaches directly to the cabin air filter. It was meticulously designed to fit into the pleats of the cabin air filter without blocking air flow. Made of a specially crafted composite, PUREFLOW® air fresheners hold a large amount of scent and use a slow and controlled release technology that makes the scent last for months.

Keep in mind, the first step to ensuring clean air inside your car, is to replace the cabin air filter once or twice a year. Since cabin air filters were first introduced in the late 70’s, they have become a staple in most new cars. The purpose of a cabin air filter is to purify the air we breathe inside the car by capturing microscopic particles like pollen, dirt, soot, and other harmful contaminants. If left unchanged, you may notice a musty smell, a loss of ac air flow, fogging windshields or even a whistling noise that increases when you turn-up the blower fan.

When changing your cabin air filter be sure to add a PUREFLOW® air freshener. PUREFLOW® cabin filter air fresheners, with their unique attachment method, are infused with natural scents and a deodorizer to eliminate that mildew or musty smell inside your vehicle. Available in six refreshing scents, PUREFLOW® air fresheners will provide a fresh, clean new car smell for you and your passengers.
